As an Assistant Professor in English, I uphold the philosophy of student-cantered, skill oriented and industry based pedagogical practices. My passion for literature and research coupled with social service enable me to reach out to students and the society. As a teacher, I always explore possibilities for my continuous professional development through Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs). I acknowledge that my responsibility vests in creating and disseminating knowledge through paper presentations and publications, in addition to widening my knowledge horizon by attending national and international seminars. My research areas include American nautical fiction, Cultural Studies and digital literature. I render my service to other institutions by setting question papers and answer keys for various UG and PG programmes offered by them. I admit that a teacher has to carry out certain administrative duties in the Institution and I am diligent in executing them in my domain. Leadership is certainly an inevitable component of teaching profession. I enthuse in taking up leadership in various student activities and college councils. In short, I strive to achieve mastery in both scholastic and non-scholastic domains.
