The Department of Management Studies was established in 1995 with the new generation job oriented programme, Bachelor of Business Management (B.B.M.) for the first time in Mahatma Gandhi University. Later, in the academic year 2023-24, the B.B.M program was transformed into B.B.A as per U/O No.4539/AC A
9/2023/MGU dated 28/04/2023.
The pioneers of the Department include Dr. V.P Thomas, Rev. Fr. M.S Thomas CMI (Former Principal), Dr. C.T. Francis and Mr. K.M. Jose. In 1996, the Department organized the first inter-collegiate management fest, Chrysalis ever in the history of M. G University.
The Department has an excellent profile of 29 years with three permanent faculties; Dr. Joseph George, Ms. Tisha Tomy and Dr. Sharon Lee Jose and an Assistant Professor on Contract, Dr. Vishnu Govindan.
The Department has a long-standing tradition of academic excellence and fostering leadership qualities among the students.
