Department of Commerce St. Joseph’s College Moolamattom has been offering commerce education. It all started with the sectioning of B.Com Computer Application(Model 2) in 2002. The department offering B.Com Finance and Taxation(Model 1) from 2013 onwards. The department was upgraded to the Post Graduation Department with the starting of M. Com Finance in the year 2015 and also BBA was started in the same year.
Students from any stream can join (commerce, science, humanities) and the faculties explore the pulse of the students and prepare them to their destinations. Students from non-commerce streams are provided the basics of accounting to bridge the knowledge gap before the commencement of the programme and impart computer training as part of the course. students are given training in DBMS ,VB, C and Computerized Accounting (Tally).
The department conducts various fests, Seminars, Invited talks, Workshops, Field trips etc. promoting the overall development of the students.
