The physics department is always keen to reveal the beauty of science to the young. The department tries to develop curiosity and reasoned skepticism over the students. The course with which we are involved in our society is a vocational one with a specialization in Electronics. A course fine enough to develop an appreciation of fundamental physics and caters to modern technological society’s demands. We have ampule facilities to develop experimental and computational skills. We also provide facilities to undertake projects in advanced areas of physics both in-house and from premier institutes in the country. Our young and dynamic faculty members are Ph.D. holders with considerable research experience. The areas of expertise of our faculty members are vivid like Microwave and millimeter-wave electronics, filters, antenna, radiation physics, radiation biophysics, ultrafast lasers (femtosecond) and their utilization in controlling magnetism for data recording, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy of carbon nanomaterials, chemical vapor deposition, photonic crystals, POC – biosensors, atomic layer deposition, vacuum systems, and low-temperature plasma.
